We are a community owned charity run by a volunteer board and part-time paid Development Manager. We would love more people to get involved in the life of the Hub whether it’s a couple of hours each week or just once in a while.

We have an amazing team of volunteers who run the Book Nook and the more volunteers we have the more hours we can open. Volunteering in the Book Nook isn’t just for book lovers! It’s a great volunteering opportunity for anyone who enjoys chatting to people and making them feel welcome in the Hub. Or if you like order and organisation, your help to keep the shelves ship shape will be much appreciated.
We are also looking for anyone who is interested in helping us to fund raise for our Dolly Parton’s Imagination or with administration tasks.

If you are interested in what is happening at the Hub and what we could do in the future why not become a Hub member? Our members have a voice at our Annual General Meeting and can help out at our Open Days and bigger events like the Reading Minds book festival.
Join our Board of Trustees
Helensburgh Community Hub is owned and run for the community by the community through our board who are all volunteers.
The official charity and company name is Helensburgh Community Hall Ltd and we have a board of up to 7 trustees. The board can also have a further 3 members to help administer the organisation but who are not full trustees.
There are approximately 10 board meetings a year, held on the third Wednesday of the month for about two hours. We need trustees of all backgrounds with all different kinds of skills – the most important thing is that you want to be part of a team to take our thriving organisation forward.
